Where Is Your Online Home Base?

I’ve put a lot of work into re-engineering how this business works for you, the end user, because that’s what really matters. So today I want to leave you with this thought: Where is your online home base? Is it on Facebook? Is it on Instagram? TikTok?

I really want you to consider this if you don’t have a business home base online, also known as a website. Creating a community around your products or services on social media is necessary right now. But that’s only because people’s attention is there.

We know from experience that attention goes from one place to another, and to another over time. So if you built a foundation of followers on Instagram or Twitter that’s great. But when those platforms become less popular what will you do? The fundamentals matter.

If you don’t have a website as an online home base for your business, you are simply missing the boat. If you sell anything and you are not pointing people to it through search, social media, and word of mouth, you are not being present where a lot of the market is today.

Use cases

Online sales, learning about your customers in a meaningful way, and being there when people need you are just three of the foundational ways having a website impacts your business.

If you don’t have one, you’re just losing opportunity. I don’t say that to be mean, but to just be honest about the situation.

Social media is only getting deeper and deeper. SEO is more important than ever. So if you don’t have the bedrock of a website, the wave of what’s coming next will leave you upside down in the internet’s wake.

I give away my best advice for free. If you’ve made it this far and you don’t like your digital strategy, don’t have a digital strategy, or want solid insight on the internet or social media, ask us about what you want to do. It’s one of the best decisions you can make for yourself and your business.

Having an online home base is a necessity. Go get yours and tackle tomorrow. It’s an investment, but the returns are worth it.
